    Would we be able to survive as our ancestors did? This reality show doesn´t take place in a single location, not even in a year. Each episode of this contest takes place in a different moment of the country's history so we can find the best contestant ever.

    The 5 finalists projects will be pitched on stage, on Saturday 1th April 2017, 16:30 - 17:45 Grand Auditorium, Palais 1.

    The winner will receive a €5,000 cash prize and a €15,000 value package to further develop his or her idea for broadcasters.

  • Chaired by Stephen Lambert (“Undercover Boss”, “Gogglebox”), the Short List Jury including all3media International, Lime and Optomen USA, will select the 5 best projects to be pitched on stage.

    Submit… and pitch your idea to format experts from all3media production labels and leading commissioning editors who will join the stage to offer advice and commentary on the ideas pitched.

    The winner will receive a €5,000 cash prize and a €15,000 value package to further develop the pitched idea making it ready to pitch to broadcasters.

    Selection will be based on the following criteria:

    • Creativity
    • Originality
    • Innovation
    • Capacity of returning for multiple series

    The selected projects will also have to be:

    • Well structured, tightly formatted.
    • Fitting in the following genres of non-scripted formats: entertainment, factual entertainment, gameshows, and studio entertainment.
    • Potential to travel as a format to countries small and large.
    • Projects must be new and original format concepts which have not been commissioned or broadcast on linear television or non linear television yet and for which the worldwide format rights are still available.


    • 8 December 2016: Call for entries opens online.
    • 17 February 2017: Deadline for entries.
    • Mid-March 2017: Finalists official announcement.
    • Saturday 1 April 2017: Pitching at MIPFormats, Palais des Festivals, Cannes.
